OL' CHANTY - Chanticleer Magazine Online
CHANTICLEER NEWS & VIEWS
The next issue of the magazine is coming along nicely, with poetry by David Cooke, Donald Young, Geoff Stevens, Gerald England and Idris Caffrey. Plus an essay by yours truly about Salvador Dalí called Avid for Dollars. There will also be a review of John Bennett's Drive By. John Bennett is one of the most underprized - and uncompromising - writers in America at the moment, so any new book by him is good news.
I've been hesitating over this announcement, because the site was still under construction, but I have my own personal website now, which you can reach by using the following link www.harlequindavidson.com It's called Into The Sunset - an allusion, perhaps, to the fact I've become an old brood-mare which has been put out to pasture, ie, I retired recently.
The Chatbox will soon disappear, as it is being deleted by Nabble. This is no problem. It's a rather cumbersome blog anyway. When it goes, a new different blog will appear. Anyone wishing to contribute to it is welcome. It needn't be about poetry; it could be about politics, but only in the widest sense of the term. No plugs for NuLab or anyone else on the conventional political spectrum please.
Three weeks to go before the next issue, but still not enough material. I hope the issue won't be delayed for lack of copy. I'm particularly looking for strong work from women..
