SELECTED POEMS
  by  Richard Livermore (£6. 00)

These Selected Poems are drawn from over 40 years of Richard Livermore's career as a poet. They consist mainly of shorter poems, although there are also some excerpts from longer poems, as well as some sequences in their entirety.

Comments on Richard Livermore's work:-

"Absolutely delightful are the poems that in their simplicity and at the same time philosophical depth are reminiscent of Emily Dickenson... the formal structure and sense are perfectly fitted."
                                                                                     Beth Junor  in
Markings

"Richard Livermore is a fine fine musical craftsman who fuses myth with its contemporary equivalents."

                                                                                                          Jeremy Reed

"The pure lyricism of these poems is piercing, the intensity of focus unwavering"

                                                                          Walter Morani  in
Gay Scotland

"... excellent...: witty, thought-provoking and satisfying."

                         David Anthony in

The two most recent publications are as follows.

Days Lane - by Terry Wilson. Interviews between Terry Wilson and Brion Gysin - The real story of Operation Trance - The Cut-up Revelation And Opening of the Gates Of Space.

Brion Gysin was an artist who was also a close associate of William Burroughs. He collaborated with Burroughs and inspired the famous cut-up method which Burroughs used to such great effect in his novels.

Point Of No Return - To The Memory Of Joan Burroughs - by Ian MacFadyen. A verse drama in irregular metre told from the point of view of Joan Burroughs herself, the wife of William Burroughs. Her tragic demise  at the hands of her husband in a kind of "William Tell" shooting accident has given rise to much speculation as to what actually happened. Ian MacFadyen provides his own take on events from Joan's point of view. The front cover is by Alison Harper.

Written essentially as a libretto, it was given a public performance on Thursday, July 2nd., 2009 as part of the William Burroughs Homage at the University of London Institute in Paris.
